Editorial Staff at Tropical Gastroenterology recommend that you consult the Instructions to Authors before proceeding with the submission process. Editors reserve the right to return manuscripts that do not meet these guidelines within these instructions.
We strongly encourage all authors to submit their manuscripts on line for faster and more efficient processing and review. The process is simple and requires that you register on the Journal website before proceeding (as an author). Alternatively, manuscripts may be sent as email attachments, but must meet the requirements of the article type. There is NO need to send us paper copies of the manuscript by post if it has been submitted electronically. Articles sent via post may take up to 3 months for processing and we recommend that you use this route only if absolutely necessary, in which case the address is:

Bear in mind that the uniform requirements for manuscripts submitted to medical journals state that authorship credit should be based only on substantial contribution to the following:
1. Conception and design, acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data.
2. Drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
3. Final approval of the version to be published.
All three of these conditions must be met. Each author should have participated sufficiently in the work to take public responsibility for appropriate portions of the content.
Participation solely in the acquisition of funding, the collection of data, or general supervision of the research group does not justify authorship. We wish that all authors included on a paper fulfill the criteria of authorship. Conversely we also ask for assurance that there is no one else who fulfills the criteria but has not been included as an author. All contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be listed in an acknowledgments section. Examples of those who might be acknowledged include a person who provided purely technical help, writing assistance or a department chair who provided only general support. Financial and material support should also be acknowledged.
